About

Thriving Family Therapy

We help people navigating complex trauma, autism, and ADHD — especially when these experiences overlap.

Our goal is simple: Support that finally makes sense, feels safe, and meets you where you are.

Our work integrates all three when needed

How We Work

Healing is not about changing who you are—it’s about understanding your nervous system, your needs, and your patterns so you can build a life that fits you.

Our approach integrates:

  • Neurodiversity-affirming practice - Validating lived experiences, rejecting pathology-based models, honoring sensory, emotional, and cognitive differences.

  • Trauma-focused care - Centering safety, pacing, collaboration, and understanding nervous system adaptations.

  • Attachment & relational work - Because relationships shape us — especially when early experiences were painful, chaotic, or confusing.

  • Systems awareness - Oppression, culture, family history, disability justice, poverty, society, and environment deeply affect mental health. We name and address these forces, instead of placing the burden solely on you.

  • Whole-person support - Unlike traditional talk therapy, our integrative approach addresses your entire being: mind, body, and spirit. Our clients often have complex health issues, sensory sensitivities, and chronic nervous system dysregulation. We can help.

  • Lived experience - As a neurodivergent clinician and parent myself, as well as someone who has experienced complex trauma, I understand firsthand what it means to navigate a world that isn’t designed for us.

You are the expert of your lived experience — our role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.

It is entirely possible to go from merely surviving to thriving.

We would be honored to share this journey with you.

Founder and Lead Therapist

Hi, I’m David. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. I’m also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Family Trauma Professional, as well as a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner.

For me, this work is deeply personal. I know what it’s like to feel misunderstood, to mask, to burn out, and to move through systems that were never built for neurodivergent bodies or brains. My approach is grounded in lived experience, accessibility, consent, and a deep belief that your way of being is valid. My goal is to offer a space where you never have to shrink or hide — where you can show up exactly as you are.
